I can't find a definition of what "enclosed" actually means in terms of how US Soccer uses it. I assumed it meant seating on all four sides of the field. If you think the seating on the river side isn't enough to qualify as "enclosed", how much more do you think is needed?
Enclosing the side of the field overlooking the river and railway tracks would be a huge mistake. It’s one of the coolest things about a Riverhounds game. I’d even go so far as to say I’d rather forgo D1 if the cost is ruining the layout.
So you’d rather make the Hounds ineligible for the Division-I league just so you can’t have a couple rows of stands that just block 376 from the view and make it harder to kick a ball out of the stadium?
I don’t need D1 status to enjoy the Hounds. In fact, part of me worries at what changes the growth of the USL would bring. MLS has become awful as a result of chasing money and clout.
