Soooooo close in Detroit
The Riverhounds put on a show in Detroit, without a striker, but let it slip away in the last minute
The Riverhounds performed well, not having an out-and-out striker clearly confused Detroit and got some of our best players on the field together. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough as Detroit scored in the last seconds of the match. Still, to take a team that’s only lost 1 game all season that deep into the game without a striker says something.
Reminder, everyone starts the game at a 6 and then goes up or down based on performance…
Starting 11
Jacob Randolph: 7
Had some big saves, especially in the second half. 90 mins of great play and 1 ball he just couldn’t get to.
Luke Biasi: 6
Played fairly well, physical as always. Luke just didn’’t do much to make a difference in the game.
Sean Suber: 7
Sean played really well. He was not giving DCFC anything easy.
Beto Ydrach: 7
Beto was a stabilizing force all game. He made Osumanu look good, which is impressive.
Illal Osumanu: 6
Osumanu made no big mistakes - just nothing big.
Perrin Barnes: 6.5
Perrin is pretty electric on the ball. Some errant passes but finding his way slowly but surely. Excited to see what happens with more minutes.
Jackson Walti: 8
As always - controlling the MF, making life hard for the DCFC midfielders.
Brad Sample: 6
Brad was in the game. Just not an impact player.
Aidan O’Toole : 6.5
One of his better outings so far. I like his energy, just not enough impact.
Robbie Mertz: 6.5
Robbie was shooting the ball. Just not enough on target. The corner service was pretty good, just all too close to the keeper. Gotta find heads more!
Danny Griffin: 6.5
Danny played well - just clearly uncomfy without a striker ahead of him but is caused lots of frustration on the press.
Substitutes
Max Broughton: 6
Not much to say here. Came in the game, had some good work on the defensive end. No mistakes.
Bertin Jacquesson: 6
I forgot he came in because 20 minutes and no impact whatsoever
Guillaume Vacter: 5.5
Probably counted 3 awful passes in 10 minutes of play.
Jorge Garcia: 6
Did he touch the ball?

What a quirky lineup. Bob pulling this out from the dustiest part of the attic lol.
